Accommodation

Korvala has offered accommodation to travellers for over one hundred years. Originally in the coaching inn, the style of accommodation has varied and expanded over the years, according to the needs of our guests. In the late 1940’s and early 1950’s the first cabins, a campsite and youth hostel facilities were all added to the existing services.

The sub-pages Winter and Summer give more details of today’s provision.

Log cabins

Nowadays, we have a variety of log cabins available, each with different facilities ranging from the basic to the more fully equiped. Almost all of today’s cabins look out over the lake and have been made by Seppo, who also cut the trees and lathed the logs before setting to work on the building process in the early eighties. The cabins were upgraded in 1994 and again in 2006.

Campsite

Our small but spacious campsite along the shores of our lake has been a popular spot for over fifty years. Being in an open area, the summer breezes keep many of our little winged friends to a minimum! The beach and swimming area are favourites with young children, whilst the mountain bikes, canoes and fishing possibilities provide the rest of the family with plenty to do.
