By Air or Train

Rovaniemi Airport is situated north of the City of Rovaniemi and is serviced by regular domestic flights operated mainly by Finnair and Blue 1.

For information on other international routes and competitive prices, etc. go also to Ryanair. Ryanair flys back from Tampere for as little as 10€ and there are good train connections from Tampere to Rovaniemi, including an overnight express.

Rovaniemi’s railway station is near the centre of town. For more information go to VR, the national railway network. 

From Rovaniemi, there are several ways to travel the final distance to Korvala. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes.

1) Car Hire: there are several companies operating out of Rovaniemi’s airport and station and it is possible to pick up the keys in both places. For more info go to Avis, Budjet, Scandia Rent, Toyota Rent, Hertz, Transvell and Europcar 

2) Taxi: There are taxis operating out of both places also. The Airport Taxi company gives competetive rates and bookings can be made through us: for 1-4 people the total is 70€; for 5-9 people, 100€; for 10-16 people, 150€; for 16-25 people, 220€. Separate negotiations are made for bigger groups.

3) Bus: Buses leave the city centre via the railway station and airport on a regular basis. For more info go to Travel Services and search for routes from Rovaniemi railway station, bus station or airport to Tiainen. When finally on the bus, ask for Korvala, Tiainen. Tickets cost 8,70€ one way and 17,40€ return on the local service and 11,20€ one way and 22,70€ return on the express service. Student fares are half price.

By Car

Korvala is situated in the centre of Lapland, 60 km north of Rovaniemi along the road E75 to Sodankylä and 70 km from Sodankylä. The journey from Rovaniemi takes approximately 45 minutes. The address for GPS is N66°53’54" and E26°12’00"
