Father Christmas...

We are very lucky to be one of the places that Father Christmas visits when he needs a rest, or even a holiday!

Of course, during the Christmas Season he can be seen here at Korvala at regular intervals, but he is usually very busy then, meeting all the visiting families in a cosy cabin reserved for his personal use.

At other times, especially when it is very quiet, Father Christmas pops in to catch up on the latest news. We talk about reindeer and huskies and the weather and about all the good and brave children (and adults) in the world.

During the summer when Father Christmas stays for a holiday, he can sometimes be seen having a refreshing swim in the lake after a warm sauna, or picking blueberries in the forest behind his cabin, or just lying in the long, sunny meadow grass watching the butterflies and swallows.

Recently we have been sharing ideas about a common interest - food! He has been experimenting with the elves and has come up with some great new culinary ideas which we hope to hear more of soon...!
